The winner (best rider in both the Speed Cross (parallel slalom run) and the Free Ride on the Arandelières slope, Aiguille Rouge - Arc 2000 ) also becomes the Speed Flyer of the Year. SpeedFlyingPro event was in two parts Speed-Cross a timed Slalom run against another flyer with the following rules * 2.5 meters before and after the Gates speed-flyer must be in contact with the ground * both skis must be in contact with the ground for a minimum of one metre between the gates * with a 5 seconds time penalty at each gate for No Ground Contact. The Big Mountain Free-Ride which was held on the Arandelières slope, on the Aiguille Rouge in Arc 2000, France. Each competitor had one practice run and then a single competition run to impress the other competitors, who collectively judge the event. on the following factors: * Choice of Line Flown * Fluidity (of the run) * Technical Abilities David Eyraud finished 2nd and Vincent Reffet and Mathias Roten were joint third.
		.................................................................................................. 18.10.07 // Luca Soulos Su Kay just checked in to let us know she's off to compete kiteboarding in TONGA for the all girl 'Cindy Mosey Island Odyssey'. 10 pros and 16 amatures lapping up the sunshine & 20 knot winds in their bikinis going off boosting on kiteboards - sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Su's the NZ champ & was down in QT touring earlier this winter with world champ pro snow/waterkiter, ex pro surfer Chasta who was rocking the sub20's around NZ when all his sponsored clothes from home got lost somewhere in transit from europe. Legs is currently up in CHCH getting all his broken bones & organs checked out after his last stack in on his wing. As part of rehabbing even tho he is barely walking & since he can't board again just yet, he got on cross country skis to get the legs moving on snow, he was so good - now they wanna sponsor him!!!!!! dude the girls will be loving you in lycra!!!!!!!!!!!!  the SAS boys also got him out the back country on the sleds to get the speed & grins up - trying to hold him back is impossible........... .................................................................................................. 08.10.07 // Luca Soulos Closing weekend in Queenstown was at the Remarks with spring freshies!!!!!!!! after 4 days of snow, we spent the last day ripping the chutes and rolling homeward bound pow pow runs till the end - sick way to finish riding the lifts!!!!!!!  .................................................................................................. 23.09.07 // Luca Soulos I was up the Remarks on the mc for the Spring fest Rail jam, a low key comp but some late season trickery being thrown down on a sweet down rail with slush all around - some hard smashings taken as well - a shout to all the riders!  The next day i mc'd a whole bunch of guys and chics getting their gear off and riding off a jump into a freezing pool of water to try and score the $1000 bucks - it does nothing for a guys look, but pink legs and hard nipples for the girls goes down well with the crowd.... .................................................................................................. 30.08.07 // Luca Soulos Packer, Pauly & Chuckles just hit Kuala Lumpur with their base jumping rigs to throw themselves off the KL TOWER for global peace & harmony & test their crispy new sub20 shirts. They had 3 days of non stop maniac party and adrenaline with about 100 something other crazy dudes and chics in the Malaysian hot land, another epic mission & stories, they all made it back alive for beers, good on ya boys!
